RingCentral Announces Nationwide Availability of Local Telephone Number

July 29, 2008
RingCentral (News - Alert) has announced the nationwide availability for local telephone numbers across the U.S., saying that it’s a key requirement for businesses looking to establish a regional presence and boost customer loyalty.

“A local phone number is our storefront – it reinforces our commitment to the local market and helps build trust with our customers,” stated Joseph Turley, CEO at EvolutionMS, an IT consulting group based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

RingCentral automatically ties a company’s multiple nationwide local numbers into a single enterprise class hosted business service, linking all its customers to its employees.

Moreover, customers of RingCentral also get the benefit of free forwarding of inbound calls to anywhere in the U.S. or in the world when they are answered on the RingCentral Softphone, according to RingCentral.

“Our RingCentral number is backed up by a phone system you would expect to find at a Fortune 500 company – helping us control communications and project a professional image,” said Turley.

Currently, RingCentral says that its local numbers are powering business communications in most of the metropolitan areas and small towns, including Manhattan, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago and Houston, to Buffalo, Columbus, Colorado Springs and San Antonio.

“I am expanding business in both Boston, Massachusetts and Santa Cruz, California. Having a RingCentral local number for each region gives me the local presence I need to connect with customers and run my business smoothly and economically,” said Jenevieve Brackett, owner of Business Made Better, a services firm for small businesses.

Vlad Shmunis, CEO at RingCentral, said that combining RingCentral’s comprehensive business phone service with trusted local presence gives savvy small businesses a competitive advantage in their top markets. “Now that we’ve ratcheted our area code coverage to this level, the sky is the limit for small businesses to take advantage of opportunities nationwide,” he added.

Earlier this month, RingCentral announced that Urban Real Estate, in Chicago, has replaced its traditional AT&T (News - Alert) communications systems with RingCentral, an on-line and on-demand Internet based system.
